3P Direct Continues Online Growth
Mansfield-based firm, The Print & Packaging People (3P Direct Ltd) has continued it’s online growth and racked up another business milestone with the launch of the new UKPrinting.com web site. The site has been in development for over a year and includes several cutting-edge features not seen before in the promotional products sector.
Richard Tyler, Co-Founder and Director of 3P Direct said, “Customers can now upload and immediately see their logo on thousands of printed products. Whilst this has been done before on a basic level, it hadn’t been done in a lifestyle photography setting. Previous solutions to this have also struggled when customers access them on a mobile device. We have invested over £200,000 in the development of the site so it has been a significant project. This has included both internal and external teams collaborating over the last 12 months to bring our vision to life.”
“Visitors will be able to view their printed product in a retail environment, or at a sports stadium before purchasing. Carrying out research before the site development helped us identify that customers were visiting the site with a marketing budget in mind. However, many customer weren’t sure what products to buy. Our new site solves this problem. Not only does it help them see what their promotional product will look like when printed, it also offer comparison prices for printing the product in the UK, Europe and if time permits, in the Far East.”
3P Direct has been trading for 18 years. During this time it has built sister site UKPackaging.com into one of the largest eCommerce sites for next day packaging in the country.
What does the future hold?
Tyler added, “We now have an excellent position in the online market place. It is genuinely unique to have both sites and all this industry experience under one roof. We are different from most print and packaging merchants and we do have our niche. We offer clients both their promotional and packaging solutions and our websites show our growing product range. Our larger customers really buy into the model and we look after some pretty big brands these days. Time and time again we’ve helped customers drive more sales via printed promotions. We’ve then seen the benefit when they start selling more products, and requiring more packaging from us as a result. ”
